Proto Culture
Noun
1. A term derived from Del Tha Funky Homosapien on the Both sides of the Brain Album. Pertaining to the sub-culture which involves exceptional talents and arts in digital and other modern popular culture mediums.

So lemme tell you about the Proto Culture. This is my platform (soapbox) to express my views, thoughts and feelings toward all the things that drive my interests. Video Games, comics, movies, TV shows, and occasionally Anime. Now this isn't a venue of "Hey that movie sucked" but more of look into the creative assets and sometimes responsibilities that this Proto Culture carries. So soon enough I should be spewing all manner of diatribe expressing all kinds of thoughts, and as such I welcome the free exchange of opinions. I mean really isn't that what the Internet is all about, well that and slandering other people anomalously. at any rate I shall try to blog/bitch frequently until then save early and save often.

Loyalty to the End.

P.S.
Before I go I wanna leave you with something that I hope might enlighten you as too what I'm talking about. Below is a post I made awhile ago about the gaming culture.

January 30, 2006 - Monday

My state of the Industry adress.

To my fellow gamers,
We stand on the precipice of a new age. This is more commonly referred to as the "Next Generation" of gaming. I would like to make it known that unlike before it, this era has fallen unto us to voice our opinions on the nature of this industry. Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines "Industry" as: 2 a : systematic labor especially for some useful purpose or the creation of something of value(http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/Industry). We have created a culture from this "value" that we revere in many different aspects of our lives. Whether that reverence be as a source of entertainment, art, intellectual and creative stimulus, or just a tool for escaping the daily droll of daily life. These development teams are our Shakespeare's, Spielberg’s, and yes even Elvis Presley's of our generation. These people labor for our entertainment and it is within our power to give them the value they so richly deserve. Because as we have all seen the main stream media does not afford the same "value" to anything that the old-generation doesn't understand. Our culture comes under the pressures of the media saying very expressively that ours is a destructive creative medium. Not every one of us has the "press" to speak our minds about the industry publicly but we do have this public playground known as the internet. It gives us the tools necessary to speak our mind among our peers and help give insight into our thoughts and feelings about the video game industry. I know that I’m not speaking of anything you already don't know about how else could you be reading this if that were the case. However, what I want to stress is the magnitude in which we can support those that we "revere" and to do so without negatively attacking another person or company. Take a look at the games you love or even just like and educate yourself on the creators of that game. Know the names of the development teams and support their efforts and endeavors on the internet. Because saying that one company is "better" than another isn't always proactive to advocating this community. Know that you will find those who disagree with your ideas but open debate are what cause progress, how you choose to speak your mind is a personal decision. If you believe that profanity is a necessary measure to express yourself it is without a doubt your right. Just know that what you say can not only reflect you but the rest of us, and if you feel that that is the way you want this culture to be represented to the rest of the world that is the way it will be. Thank you for your time and remember never be afraid to voice your opinions.
